The Paradigm Shift We Need

We live in an era where chronic conditions are rising, healthcare providers are overwhelmed, and patients are losing hope that their well-being can be restored.

A paradigm shift is urgently needed. As a society, we have to move from "my doctor is responsible for my health" to "I take ownership of my health, and I partner with my doctor." The gap between those two mindsets is still wide. But healthcare is changing. Patients are increasingly seeking holistic, collaborative approaches to chronic disease management.

The work, then, is skillful behaviour-change support, delivered by health professionals, in partnership with behaviour-change experts - health coaches.

My mission is to help build a model of care where behaviour change is recognized as essential. Where trust and communication are restored. Where patients are listened to and included. And where healthcare providers have the skills to make a lasting impact without burning out in the process.

If you're ready to expand your skill set and help lead the future of healthcare, my work is for you.

My Journey

Over the past several years, I've poured my work into building the Health & Wellness Coaching Diploma Program at McMaster University's School of Continuing Studies, teaching and mentoring a generation of emerging health coaches.

Alongside that, I've supported functional medicine practitioners through collaborations with the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy and the Institute for Functional Medicine, helping them integrate coaching principles into everyday patient care.

I've also navigated my own complex health journey and made deep lifestyle changes along the way. That lived experience taught me what it actually takes to assume ownership of one's well-being, and how rarely that work is supported well.

Across academia and clinical collaboration, I kept meeting the same challenge: how to genuinely engage people in ways that lead to lasting change. That recurring question became the spark for Health Coaching Done Right - a focused dedication to giving healthcare providers the practical tools of behaviour change.

Bridging the Classroom and the Clinic

I work at the intersection of education and practice.

For organizations and clinical teams, I offer evidence-based training that equips them with practical coaching skills, including motivational interviewing, behaviour change frameworks, and communication practices that improve patient engagement and outcomes.

For coaches and practitioners, I run a community of practice that helps translate classroom learning into confident, ethical work, clarifying scope, strengthening core skills, and developing a real professional identity in the field.
