The Paradigm Shift We Need (My Why)

We live in an era where chronic conditions are rising, healthcare providers are overwhelmed, and patients are losing hope that their well-being can be restored.

A paradigm shift is urgently needed. As a society, we must move from the mindset of "my doctor is responsible for my health" to "I take ownership of my health and I partner with my doctor." The gap between these two mindsets remains wide, yet healthcare is also changing. Patients increasingly seek holistic, collaborative approaches to chronic disease management.

The solution lies in skillful behaviour-change support - delivered by health professionals and in partnership with behaviour-change experts (a.k.a. health coaches).

My mission is to promote and enable a model of care where behaviour change is recognized as essential, trust and communication are restored, patients are listened to and included, and healthcare providers have the skills to make a lasting positive impact without feeling burnt out.

If you’re ready to expand your skill set and help lead the future of healthcare, my work is for you.

My Journey

Over the past several years, I’ve poured my passion into building the Health & Wellness Coaching Diploma Program at McMaster University’s School of Continuing Studies - teaching and mentoring the next generation of health coaches.

In parallel, I’ve supported functional medicine practitioners through collaborations with the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy and the Institute for Functional Medicine, guiding them to integrate coaching principles into everyday patient care.

At the same time, I’ve navigated my own complex health journey and made transformative lifestyle changes. This lived experience deepened my understanding of what it takes to assume ownership of health and well-being.

Across academia and clinical collaboration, I consistently encountered the same challenge: how to genuinely engage clients in ways that lead to meaningful, lasting change. Those experiences became the spark for Health Coaching Done Right - a dedication to empowering healthcare providers with the effective tools of behaviour change.

Bridging the Classroom and the Clinic

I work at the intersection of education and practice:

  • For Organizations and Clinical Teams, I offer evidence-based training that equips teams with practical coaching skills - motivational interviewing, health behaviour change frameworks, and communication practices that improve patient engagement and outcomes.

  • For Students & Emerging Coaches, I run a mentorship program that helps translate classroom learning into confident, ethical practice - clarifying scope, strengthening core skills, and developing a professional identity.
